Luck pillars are 10-year chapters that start at an age worked out from the distance between your birth and the nearest solar term. Annual pillars are the stem and branch of each year. Laying the year over the running luck pillar shows which years flow with you and which ask for patience.
Decades and annual periods in Zi Wei
Each palace of a Zi Wei chart holds one 10-year decade, and the annual period moves one palace a year. Years when the decade or annual period reaches the Career, Wealth or Travel palace are traditionally seen as years to be active about work.
